Well folks...Here we are at the end of our club pulling season. Next weekend will conclude 2010. For the clubs sake I hope we have a really good turn out! Seems like the crowds have been kinda slim this year. I guess the economy has had a lot to do with it. This is a sport that can be addictive to the pullers and doesn't provide a lot of "excitement for the spectators.
Kinda disappointed with my favorite college team, South Carolina" they lost a game that should have been a walk in the park...Oh well let it go!
Got a Bradford Pear tree cut down today, how many limbs can a tree have?!?!
OK Till next time ...Be Saafe and have fun!

I'm Baaaack
Don't know if anyone missed me but I finnally landed a job I really do like! Wish I had done this long ago. We after we healed from our loss of Brandy my wife was presented with a new bundle of joy, Gracie. A litle "Pom-Chi" She has stolen our hearts like no other! She is Sandy's constant companion. The old Allis is still pulling good and I enjoy taking her out to the pulls. My son and I went to the Drag races this weekend in Charlotte at the ZMAX Dragway, what an awesome place! If you have never been to an NHRA race you should go when you get the chance! Until next time ...See ya.

Good Bye old Friend
This morning at 6:03 our buddy, Brandy, passed away. She was 15 years 2 months and 4 days old. All of us could take a lesson from our pets...UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. It didn't matter what the circumstance Brandy would be there. I have taken her to the mail box nearly every day of her life, she couldn't start her day with out that trip to get the morning paper. She dearly loved to go for rides, especially on our golf cart. She was primarily Sandy's (my lovely wife) friend. Never out of her site for any length of time. My son, Brent would have to pick her up every time he came in from working and scratch her back, no dening it. My Father-in-laws visits were a special treat for her she would get so excited to see him! We have a rock on our hearth that when placed on the floor would send Brandy into a frenzy to attack and bark until it was picked up and replaced on the fire place.
She will be missed for a very long time... We all loved you . GOOD BYE BRANDY

RAIN< RAIN< RAIN
Went to bed Friday night wondering what the weather would be for the pull on Saturday, woke up late to find it misty and foggy. The Plylers were to call by 8 if the pull was cancelled, they hadn't, so Brent and I loaded up the Allis and headed to Mt.Pleasant/Rockwell, NC. The track looked promising but the tractors were not there! We had a few rock crawlers set up in the parking area and a few pulling trucks were there. I think when all was said and done we had 10 tractors and 15 or 20 trucks to pull. We even let the crawlers pull, they loved it! I did pretty well, two first places one 249+ and a 247+ pull. One of out truck pullers brought out his new "PRO" truck It will be awsome when he gets it dialed in! We got some good photos posted on flickr.com/brentmccphotography under "people".
Next pull is in Pageland this coming Saturday hope to see a big crowd there! Till next time...Happy Hookin

A little concerned!
WOW Ain't pullin fun! We had a really good pull last weekend. Not a whole lot of tractors but its always good to have friends get together and do what they enjoy. We had a bit of a sad note, long tiime puller and friend Joe Dake lost his battle with cancer. His great friend, Raeford Williams made the first honorary pull for him, of course it was a full pull! A tradition I hope we continue.
I noticed a popping sound in the rear of my old Allis, been investigating this week but have not found the problem. I plan to finish the season, only a few more pulls, and pull the rear end covers and see what is going on.
It was good to see the folks from Edmunds at the pull. Their son pulled his tractor very well for his age.
We are going to pull in Mt. Pleasent NC next week, should be a good one! Hope to see a bunch up there.
